Based on the assumption (or fact) that a format may be a hindrance to access, we will request alternate formats, ie, book on tape if we only own book on cd or hardcopy/cd/cassette format if we only own e-book. We will ILL for a large print item if we only own regular print, but we won't ILL for a regular print if we own the large print as we see the lp as fully accessible to a regular sighted person (though it may be inconvenient).

We request whatever a patron wants in whatever format they request.
In fact on our media request form we ask that they designate format.
