I think it's just some libraries that are short-staffed and get
something ready to send and don't update it in time. One I took off our
list, because it's trouble when we get duplicates, etc.

Subject: Aged to next lender and duplication

We are seeing more and more of this: items shipped to us by libraries
that allowed a request to the next lender. We then end up with duplicate
copies --- wasted staff time and postage at both ends.

There are some libraries which we notice follow this pattern with
frequency. Others are intermittent. Should I bring it to the attention
of the libraries which allow the aging and then ship anyway? Or is this
due to some disconnect between ILLiad or Clio and WorldCat that they
can't help? (We do not use ILLiad or Clio here.)

Thanks, all! :)
