[ILL-L] OCLC FirstSearch/ILL Direct Request

Hello all,
St. Thomas Aquinas College is a small, four-year liberal arts college
offering both bachelor and master degrees. Our student population is roughly
2500.
My Director has asked me to explore the feasibility and practicallity of
implementing ILL Direct Request. For FY 06-07, we were able to provide 155
requests and received 56 items for faculty/students.
I have printed the tutorial but after reading it, it appears to me that the
IT staff would need to be closely involved with its implementation. We
currently do not have a systems librarian. I would love to hear feedback,
experiences, usefullness, etc. from schools that use this service. Do
librarians and users like it? I have been serving in the ILL function for a
year now and have not encountered any problems with our traditional system
of filling requests.
