[ILL-L] Pesky "Aged to next lender" issue

I'd send the symbols to my OCLC regional network with a complaint, and ask them to contact the respective networks for their libraries. The regional networks should get themselves involved and are more likely to get somewhere with the libraries than OCLC.
I love the bumper sticker :)

I find it frustrating too. How long had the items been in processing when you found out they'd aged?
Have you contacted OCLC on this?
I sometimes wonder if someone will come out with a bumper sticker: "Old Interlibrary Loan Librarians never die; they just age to the next lender."

Should I be alarmed that now on a DAILY basis we are processing MULTIPLE
borrowed materials sent by libraries where the request "Aged to next
lender"?
I've had 6 of these from 4 different libraries today alone. I've had to
go in and delete the requests from WCRS before they were duplicated by
other libraries (fortunately, they were still Pending).
What on earth is going on out there? :?
