JPL uses Avery 6464 Removable labels with our ILLiad software and Word
software. I can't give you an accurate cost on them. We also used these
when we had CLIO. The city contracts with an office supply company and
they give us a hefty discount- so I've heard. In their catalog, though -
the price reads $22.54 per pack of 150 labels (six labels on each
sheet). There may be some Avery clones out there that can be purchased
in greater volume and at less expensive prices. We haven't seen any
residue on or damage to materials.

Subject: [ILL-L] Book Labels
Hi Everyone,
We are still using book bands when sending and receiving ILL
materials. I've been seeing more and more libraries use the "sticky"
labels on their books and would like to get some information on the
labels. First, what kind are they, where do you purchase them and
what program do you use to print them? Cost? Is there any problem
with residue left on the materials? Are there books that you wouldn't
use them on? Pros and cons are requested.
I'm gathering the information to see if this is the way we want to
go. Thanks in advance.
