And please share with the list! I'd love to hear about converting to a
paperless operation; it's something I've been considering.

Michael, are you printing your requests? That alone is three mouse
clicks. If you're completely paperless, I'd like to know how you manage
your pending requests and what you do with the paperwork of libraries who
request their's be returned with the book. Managing paperwork is a hugh
eater of time. I guess I'd like to hear from paperless operations - what
works, what doesn't.

Michael,
I think you need to give me a speed lesson. No way I'd get 124
requests
done in 4 hours. Wow
Patti

Julia:
Exactly. I had 124 requests to place in 4 hours today, think I checked all
those policies. But I received 23 requests for our genealogy materials,
and our policies clearly state we do not circulate genealogy, so we are
not alone.

Thou shalt read potential lenders' policies before requesting a loan.

Thou musteth have a heck of a lot more time than I, to be able to CHECK
every policy! For example, in my 5 hours of work today, I have to order
83 items, plus process 30 lending. check the policies directory for each
one? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
:)
These are pretty entertaining, though, I must admit. Even though some
seem a little out there, but hey, we can all dream can't we?
