I wish they could put a checkbox for "free lender" (i.e., always free to
everyone) in the PD - it would make life a lot easier, especially when
compiling Custom Holdings lists. Also maybe another box for "match charges"
for those whose policy is we-charge-what-you-charge.
Then, "reciprocal" could just mean free by prior arrangement (or group
membership) only.

My understanding is that "Reciprocal," in the policies directory, means you
automatically agree to lend free to all free and reciprocal libraries; and
that this agreement doesn't necessarily rely on arrangements made with
specific libraries and/or groups. We are part of several groups, and have
individual arrangements with many libraries that aren't part of them; but we
are "no" to reciprocal in the directory; because we don't want to give the
impression that we lend free to everyone who lends free or claims to be
reciprocal in the directory.

We have it marked Yes but that definition covers a lot of ground. We're
part of LVIS and a few other groups, but we don't charge borrowers who
would charge us. I lean more to the side of the definition that says
we're a member of various groups that lend to each other for free.
Especially since "Kinda" isn't one of the choices offered. :>)

We lend for free, even to those who charge, so technically we are not
"reciprocal" since we don't charge those who charge us. Am I
misinterpreting "reciprocal" ?

Just want to put in my 2 cents worth? I lend to THOSE who have a YES
next to their RECIPROCAL in their policy directory.
