[ILL-L] Eric question

Lois,
I have 3-4 libraries, most in Michigan, that I request ERIC documents from.
First, I double check that the ERIC document is not available online,
sometimes our patrons miss that link. Some of the ERIC docs are published
as a book. These will usually have an ISBN in the citation, so you can just
treat these as a regular book request. Most of our ERIC doc requests come
to me via my review file. Once I know I need to make a request, I insert my
libraries in the request form. Then I add the ED number to the beginning of
the title so the lending libraries know right away what I am asking for. If
you receive requests in other formats, you can use the Blank Workform, under
the Resource Sharing tab, and just fill in the info. The libraries I
usually request ERIC docs from usually supply them as a fiche copy.
However, some of the older fiche do not copy well and will be too light to
read, so I ask if they can supply a paper copy. If I can answer any other
ERIC questions or if I need to clarify the above, please ask.
