Miko,
Having separate fields for Borrowing & Lending email addresses in the
address maintenance file was suggested at the last ILLiad meeting in VA
Beach. Atlas seemed receptive to the idea, but we don't know when it
will be implemented.

Great minds, and all that...
Kathy

Some library has two separate department, lending and borrowing and they have different contact/e-mail information. But on the ILLiad address information field only allow us one e-mail address. Because of sending overdue notice by e-mail, I keep the borrowing e-mail address but when I need to contact for the lending, have to look up policy again. I wish ILLiad address info section has 2 e-mail fields.

There is also a field for electronic delivery. The information in these fields displays to the lender.

We have been reluctant to use the email addresses given in many of the policy files contact information because they are personal email addresses, staff are reassigned or leave the institutions or go on vacations and we are unable to communicate our notices to those libraries.
