I ILLed a lib science title "Revolting librarians redux"
which is a 2003 McFarland imprint. I always check
the index for lib sc titles for ANY ILL references. Its
page 188 for the ILL reference.

An essay titled "Astrology and library job correlation"
by Dean Dylan Hendrix and Michelle Wilde  I learned
the following about the sun signs of ILL librarians:

1. Pisces   11.49 %
2. Leo       10.34 %
3. Cancer    9.77 %
4. Aires       9.20 %
5. Capricorn  8.05 %

The authors used another measure of the 1k respondents
which utilized the number of respondents within that
same astrological sign. The top five were:

1. Pisces    24.39 %
2. Aquarius  20.34
3. Cancer    19.77
4. Aries       19.75
5. Capricorn  18.92

The authors further stated:

"Pisces are attracted to ILL duties much more than
their astrological counterparts. Charity and sacrifice
are valued by the Pisces personality. To the dreamy
Pisces their patrons are not just the folks who walk
through their doors, but rather the world at large.
Not needing constant adulation, Pisces are content
to work in the shadows while they quietly know they
are fulfilling the grand mission of libraries: access to
information..."

The book is a very good inside look at the current state
of librarianship and I will be buying a copy for the other
essays contributed by very good writers and thoughtful
librarians.
