[ILL-L] New resource for library holdings worldwide

For anyone wishing to locate holdings of works published in other
countries but not found in WorldCat or in your own national catalogs,
try MetaBibCatsWiki <http://wiki.lib.uconn.edu/wiki/MetaBibCatsWiki> ,
an open source, collaborative directory of:

*	Online multinational and national union catalogs, 
*	Online catalogs of national libraries
*	Country based lists of online accessible libraries.

 

Wiki resources are by definition works in progress!  This directory
currently covers most of the countries of the Americas, Europe,
Australia and New Zealand.

Coverage for Africa, Asia and the Middle East is in early development,
and would benefit greatly from the contributions of other interested,
knowledgeable individuals.  

 

Try it out!

Read the introductory matter for a general description of scope and how
to edit.

Click on "National Catalogs" to browse the list of countries and consult
their catalogs.

Improvements are on the way for searching and other features.

 

Comments, suggestions, and offers of assistance are welcome both on and
off the list.
