[ILL-L] RE:Requests for items your library already owns

Bill and all:

We honor such requests if the item is checked in but 'missing' with 3
shelf checks OR checked out with a due date that indicates ILL will be
faster than a recall of the item.  Our recall assure that the holding
patron has the item for 3 weeks so if it has just been checked out, ILL
is quicker.

We do a semester report for titles requested 3 or more times for our
Collection Development librarians to consider purchase of an additional
title.
