Subject: [ILL-L] Copyright question

Colleagues,

I understand that if we have a current subscription to a journal, we
don't have to pay copyright fees for articles from previous years, a
missing issue, etc. But if we have access to a journal online through an
aggregator with an embargo, are we obligated to pay copyright fees on
articles from the embargoed time period, once we have exceeded the limit
of five? I did search several copyright information websites, but could
not find this specific situation addressed.
Thanks for your advice, and don't tip off the copyright police please!
