[ILL-L] RE: Ready for tonight?

We won't be open tonight either so delayed gratification is the order of
the day.  500 copies are being sent throughout the system with 250 going
to the Main Library for the Potter Party tomorrow in a a mixture of the
books and audiobooks. Our Collection Development and Acquisitions head
sent out an e-mail that ended with: Support Services witches and wizards
have placed spells upon the bins that will cause any opened prior to
12:01 7/21 to spontaneously combust ;) !   I do hope the fire department
is on stand-by.

	How many libraries will be open at midnight tonight to deal with
the hordes of patrons who will want to order HARRY POTTER AND THE
DEATHLY HALLOWS on interlibrary loan at 12:01 a.m.?  Or have you already
been getting requests?

	 

	(Actually, our library has been getting a lot of requests on
patron surveys that we be open 24/7.  One student insisted that most
college libraries are open 24 hours a day.  Our second most frequent
survey request is for unlimited free photocopies.)
