All right, let's have a show of hands..
 
How many libraries will be open at midnight tonight to deal with the hordes
of patrons who will want to order HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS on
interlibrary loan at 12:01 a.m.?  Or have you already been getting requests?
 
(Actually, our library has been getting a lot of requests on patron surveys
that we be open 24/7.  One student insisted that most college libraries are
open 24 hours a day.  Our second most frequent survey request is for
unlimited free photocopies.)
