Christa -

Sorry to be a nuisance, but..........

Is the "new label printing" different from the documentation for Word 2003? And where do I find instructions for doing the "new" printing?

Thank you,
Nancy

The process you referenced in documentation for Word 2003 is a similar process for Word 2007, but not identical. The process end-to-end differs based on different features and functionality in the Microsoft products. While that process is still valid, it requires more work on the part of the user (exporting, formatting, mail merge, etc.). If you need a high degree of customization for shipping labels that is probably a better process for you.

The new label printing allows you to create a .PDF page of labels with just a few clicks of the mouse and no manipulation of the data.

      Thank you

I've found the document " Printing Labels in Request Manager Using Microsoft Office Word 2003 " on the OCLC website. Do these same procedures work for Word 2007? Thank you. -

On July 8 OCLC installed the ability to print shipping labels with WorldCat Sharing We have received a number of calls regarding the misalignment of labels as they re printed. Here is an update.

For all labels (5160, 5162, 5164) : After choosing to format labels, viewing them in Adobe Reader and selecting PRINT, users need to confirm that page scaling is set to none in the Adobe Reader print dialog box. If any other setting is selected labels will not be aligned to print correctly on label stock.

Label 5164 : We have discovered an additional issue with label size 5164. Even with appropriate page scaling as outlined above, labels are misaligned on 5164 label stock. We ve identified the problem and the fix will be installed this evening, July 18.

                    Thank you
