[ILL-L] OCLC Update: WorldCat Resource Sharing Enhancements installed 7/8/2007

[OCLC Resource Sharing]

Yesterday, Sunday, July 8, WorldCat Resource Sharing installed the
following enhancements:

 

GAC, GAC/UL and UL affiliations displayed in lender requests

Lenders in WCRS now see a list of all the GACs, GAC/ULs and ULs to which
both they and the requesting library belong to. This enhancement allows
lenders to more easily recognize partners with whom they have lending
agreements and more accurately make policy decisions, apply constant
data and lending charges.

.PDF Shipping label capability in batch processing 

>From the batch processing screen users can now export shipping labels to
a .PDF. WCRS supports the following label formats: 5160, 5162 and 5164.
Once a lender has updated their 'pending' or 'in process' requests via
batch processing or a borrower has updated requests to 'returned' they
see a button that lets them indicate if they want to print shipping
labels. Selecting 'create labels' takes users to an options page. A
future enhancement will allow users to print labels for requests that
are processed individually, not through batch.
