Does anyone know of a library that was punished for breaking the rules
associated with a database contract?
It's easier to say your sorry, than to ask permission.

Subject: RE: [ILL-L] E-Journal Contracts and ILL Rules
Since we are discussing E-Journal contracts, I was hoping once again to
ask the ILL community, if you have been doing anything different in
regards to the standard license agreement that comes with different
contracts related to ILL privileges? We are currently looking once
again at using a "standard ILL clause" that stipulates more clearly
what is and is not allowed directly with lending ILL articles from the
these databases.
If you can-- please share with me the verbiage that was deemed the most
successful in obtaining the rights to lend from your subscribed
e-journals. We look forward to the day, when these specific defined
clauses become standard practice and we don't have to negotiate them
quite so frequently.
Feel free to reply off-list if you think everyone has heard this too
many times before--I appreciate your time.
Happy Holidays,
