[ILL-L] Ariel 3.4 email quirks?

Thank you very much for the test transmissions.  

We and the IT staff are having a devil of a time trying to enable Ariel
3.4 to mail documents.  The Preferences settings & options for email,
Patron Delivery and so forth are seemingly sound, but we log nothing but
"Send aborted for file..." and "Unable to receive mail...check
settings."

I am wondering if we must be missing something that might have tripped
others up as well?  Thanks for any help--
