[ILL-L] 1994 NYT (early edition)

This may be a wild goose chase, but here goes...

 

We are looking for a page image from the early edition of the Sept 15,
1994 New York Times.  There was an erroneous photo caption that was
corrected in later editions for that day (as reported by the Wall Street
Journal).  Our patron wants to see the original caption and photo.  

 

We have NYT on microfilm, and the text (including captions) on nexis and
ProQuest; sadly, they only cover the final edition.  I've also checked
the "Corrections" section from Sept 15-22 - no mention of the error. 

 

Does anyone know if the early edition would have been preserved or
archived anywhere?  Or should I invest in a time machine, set it for
9-15-94, and buy the first paper of the day?
