[ILL-L] Ariel and Odyssey on same computer and scanner

We use both on the same machine and we never close any.  We have Ariel
4.1.1. and our scanner is Minolta PS3000.

Please excuse duplicate messages as this is being posted on several
list-serves to obtain a wide variety of experiences.

 

Our library is a very satisfied Ariel 4.1.1 user.  However, I'm
continuing to keep my eye on Odyssey as another document delivery system
particularly as more libraries begin using it.  A recent posting on the
Odyssey list made me curious if it is possible to run Ariel and Odyssey
on the same computer and using the same scanner.  I know that if we
decide to use Odyssey it will have to be loaded on the same machine as
Ariel due to lack of available computer stations.  Any confirmation on
what minimum set up will allow both programs to work would be
appreciated.
