[ILL-L] Marketing ILL

We had in-house training last summer/last fiscal year for the public
service staff. Our monthly request volume more than doubled this fiscal
year. Our ratio of ILL Borrowing to ILL Lending went from 1:3.34 last
fiscal year to 1:1.7 so far this fiscal year. ILL Borrowing is more
labor intensive for my staff than Lending. The training department and
I have been working on online- at your own pace- mandatory training that
will teach new staff and act as a refresher for current staff. Given
the increase from last year, I'm a bit uneasy about what effect this
will have on the volume of requests.

According to our Borrower Activity Report for July, over 9000 requests
were initiated by our patrons.

Don't think we need to market ILL here.

Has anyone tried marketing ILL within their institution? ("It's not
your grandma's interlibrary loan anymore. We're all hip and up to
date.")

Anyone have what they think is a really great interlibrary loan web page
that they would like to share?
