Let me try to be more clear, since there seems to be some confusion.

 

What I'm working on, with some others, is a list of those who loan av.
This is actually harder to figure out from the OCLC Policies Directory
than one could hope it would be.  I wish it was easy in the Policies
Directory.  Try figuring out who loans microfilm some time.  You get
some very odd results in advanced search.  The Policies Directory does
work very well to hunt for LVIS members, but not for media lenders.

 

So, the idea is to post an av lenders list on a wiki.  It's not much
different than people sharing their various lists as has been done to
ILL-L in the past.  It's just that the wiki list would always be there
when you look for it and we might be able to figure out a mechanism to
update it on the wiki.  Whenever one of us interested in this topic
finds something out something new, it would be great if it could be
shared with others having similar interests.

 

If you don't loan av, you would probably check once to make sure you
weren't on the list and then ignore the whole project.  If you do borrow
and loan av, you may find it useful to consult.  Perhaps eventually,
OCLC will re-do the Policy Directory and the wiki list could go away.

 

Lastly, I work in a public library and have no need to publish or
perish.
