[ILL-L] Borrow Direct program

Thanks, in what I read it sounded like a growing program and an open
option, but this wasn't correct. Just looking into possibilities as they

Borrow Direct is a consortium of seven institutions in the
northeast--Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Princeton, University of
Pennsylvania, and Yale.  We started a pilot project with three
institutions (Columbia, Penn, and Yale) in late 1999 and added four
additional members a couple of years later.  At the present time, there
are no plans to expand further.

We borrow/lend books only, batch ship loans and returns via UPS, and
achieve an 85% fill rate and four-business-day turnaround time overall.
I know Borrow Direct is a very successful and popular service here at
Yale and I believe that's true at all of our partner institutions.
